TimeKnight - Magical Knight Co by liltigre TimeKnight - Magical Knight Co by liltigre
"This sneaky magic knight has almond-shaped green eyes. His neck-length, curly, silky hair is the color of pine needles, and is worn in an artistic style. He has a graceful build. He has time powers that are focused through a sword. His elegant, menacing outfit is mostly black and violet."

My entry into SeventhSanctum's Magical Girl/ Magical Knight contest. His sword was supposed to look more like the hand of a clock, but... I messed up. Now it looks like a funky Ginzu knife. X_x Oh well. Haven't used colored pencil in a while, and I'm proud of how it came out. I suck at color theory. >_<

Drawn in pencil, inked with a Zig Millenium .05mm pen, and colored with Bryunzeel Design Fullcolor and Irojiten pencils. With a few touches in Photoshop for good measure. ;)

Besides being a wonderful illustration (n_n), I'm also curious about the pencil you used. I have Irojiten pencils myself, but sadly they're running low (I've had them for MANY years and despite conservation, this was bound to happen). I just ran a search on Yahoo to find a vendor that might sell Irojiten, but two searches came up, one in Japanese, and this page. So I'm going to ask you: Where did you purchase your Irojiten? (My set I have now I didn't purchase myself; they were sent to me by relatives in Japan, so I don't know where to start. D: )

I purchased my Irojiten pencils when I was studying abroad in Osaka in 1999. I've never thought about trying to buy them online- mostly because I don't work with colored pencil very often, so I still have some life left in mine. :3 They are really nice pencils, though, aren't they? And thanks for the compliment. ^_^

Oooh, I love how you drew his outfit. ^.^ It's graceful without being -too- girly. :)
